Gayle Gardens is a landscaping company that began as a small gardening operation born from years of landscaping experience and has evolved into a design/build studio, and maintenance company specializing in ecological design.

Soil is an integral part of landscape processes. Our company goes beyond the baseline assessment of soil chemistry and looks at the biology that is responsible for decomposing organic compounds, fixing nitrogen, and enhancing soil aggregation.

Through careful plant selection and seasonal support, we design to extend both the longevity of our landscapes as well as its seasonal impact. We feel that each unique landscape carries a narrative that can arrive with the earliest Spring bulbs and depart with late, winter-frosted umbels.

With an education in permaculture and biodynamics, we are attuned to natural pests and diseases brought by the changing seasons, and seek solutions to those problems as faithful stewards of the land. This involves a discipline of observing and knowing a landscape from the inside-out, all year long, while improving soil biology in an effort to strengthen plant material on a cellular level.
